Collecting Hot Hockey Trading Cards

Collecting Hot Hockey Trading Cards

When you collect hockey cards you may end up having to reach back into the earlier times to get the greatest hits. Even if you are not a hockey fan, you will know Wayne Gretzky as being a high mark. With a number of winning goals and plays, collectors will be sure not to pass up any card with his face on it. However, there are multiple Wayne Gretzky cards out there, with some at a higher value than others. The best thing to do is to do a little of your own research. You can find statistics online as to which cards are being paid out the most.

Another hockey legend is Bobby Orr. His 1966 Topps USA Test PSA 7 is worth a staggering $10,600. This card is a very limited issue and as you can see worth a lot of money. The next card worth a lot is Gordie Howe - 1951 Parkhurst PSA 9. This card is worth an insane $17,980. The Pankhurst hockey set was issued on thin paper stock and some cards were very damaged. A mint condition card of this caliber is very hard to find although any of the Pankhurst cards are valuable but this one is the most sought after. And now, drumroll please....as mentioned earlier if you find a certain Wayne Gretsky card you will definately hit the jackpot. The number one most valuable card as of yet is Wayne Gretsky's rare 1979 O-Pee-Chee BVG 9.5 which is worth $50,000.
